PROGRAMS
Pet Partners of Las Vegas features the Love Dog Adventures therapy team. We are proud to be a Pet Partners Community Partner and our therapy program is comprised solely of Pet Partners’ tested and registered therapy handlers and animals. We offer a broad range of educational and therapeutic programming throughout the Las Vegas valley.
Our mission is to improve the health and well being of our clients through programs incorporating the powerful connection between animals and humans. To achieve our mission we promote the valuable role of animal therapy in our community by providing a variety of fun and educational programs designed to build self-esteem, tolerance, acceptance, confidence and teach everyone to love and respect all living beings.
For more information about these programs or to invite Love Dog Adventures to your school or facility, contact Sue at 917-301-4710 or via our Contact Page.
Response to Intervention
Provides specially tailored programs for children and their families who are affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special learning needs, or for ongoing tracked programs. Through the use of their senses they can make that critical connection with the animals, including eye contact, speech and touch. This program is under the umbrella of Power of Pets.
Meet & Greet
Meet & Greet the Love Dogs and our Employee Wellness Program brings together therapy animals (several species) to help lessen the stress of the workplace or at other community events, conferences, conventions, etc.
Animal Assisted Crisis Response
Many of our therapy dogs and their handlers are credentialed crisis response teams and can be deployed to any emergency or crisis situation in our community. We spent over 400 hours after the October 1 tragedy and, over the years since, have been there when it was needed most. Often considered “second responders,” our therapy teams are there to comfort and assist our first responders.
Read with Me
This program provides the opportunity for children to read to and with the therapy animals enhancing student reading skills. Each session is 30 minutes to one hour and for children of five years old and up.
Be Cool, Not Cruel
Our anti-bullying initiative targeting young students. This student-directed learning experience focuses discussion on tolerance and acceptance through the eyes of the animal. This program is targeted to elementary age children and is under the umbrella of Power of Pets.
