A special visit indeed
We spent time with the staff at the Federal Courthouse and it was a superb visit. Many of the guests knew us from previous events but so many new people came by/. They had heard about us and took a moment in their very busy day to swing by. We brought Barbara and Albert, Bob and Dexter, Rosie and Birdie, Gretch and Whoopi, Clarke and Tallulah and Charlie came along too. We had to go through tight security and of course the pin the library made for Charlie buzzed it off! Oh

We love dentists!
There are no greater visits than with students and the UNLV School of Dental Medicine is the best gathering. We had Whoopi today who they know and love. And they met Buddy and Maisy for the first time. It was super hot and even though we park very close to the entrance, it was difficult for Buddy. Whoopi and Maisy wear their shoes but Buddy won’t keep them on so I have to carry him. I( think he does this so I will carry him! Thank you for such a fun day and we look forward to

A new hospital visit
When we visit Southern Hills Hospital for our group events we are in the main hospital. But every week I also go on personal visits in the Pavilion Behavioral Health Hospital and wanted to introduce some the dogs there. The staff in the Pavilion don’t get the opportunity to come over when we are in the main building. So today three therapy dogs made their way through the Pavilion and it was great. Maisy, Xoco and Charlie visited all the units and everyone was so excited to se

Library pals
Sometimes you just now when certain dogs should work together. Daisy and Buddy are the perfect duo at the Spring Valley Library. Yes it is fun to have one larger dog and one smaller therapy dog on hand. But look they both are lap dogs! Maisy is such a popular girl and Buddy is the perfect gentlemen, never jealous of the attention she gets!

Social media at the Library
We partner with the Clark County District Libraries and have teams across the valley. Centennial Hills Library is fortunate to have Dexter as their therapy dog in the Teen Zone. Today we were invited to make a video for their social media showcasing what the teens can do when they have the therapy dogs there. So Charlie was also asked to join in and he loved it. Charlie showed how he helps with the computer and Dexter was the best listener when kids were reading. Thank you to

Opportunity Village welcomes our teams
We had the pleasure of spending time at Opportunity Village’s Clubhouse today and we met so many wonderful new people. The Clubhouse is a day program for Opportunity Village clients from aged 18-70 and we brought four Pet Partners therapy dogs to enjoy the visit. Whoopi loved showing everyone her amazing tricks and her shoes that match our bandana. Birdie wanted everyone to rub her belly all the time. Dexter wanted belly rubs too and there’s a lot of him to pet at once! It s

Raise the Future
We had the pleasure of joining Raise the Future for their summer family camp day and it was the best visit ever. We will definitely be partnering with this amazing program again. They provide services for the foster and adoptive families in Las Vegas and the kids were so happy to meet four therapy pets. We had Bodhi, Pancake, Big Boy and Charlie and everyone was thrilled with these particular pets. Some of the kids we were told were afraid of dogs but after meeting our three,

Meet Zoar
Zoar is such a gentle dog. He visits with a teen treatment center and they always look forward to his visits. The kids always ask me if I know Zoar as they don’t realize we work together and I have them tell me all about him. Thank you to Mary and Zoar for making time for such important visits.

Wellness teams for the VA
We love our partnership with the Veterans Association … we were invited to join their Employee Health and Wellness Fair and were there to greet everyone as they completed the 2K Walk. Four therapy dogs and one cat hung out in the Education Center lobby and people started coming from everywhere to take a break and meet them. Many already knew Birdie and Big Boy and Charlie. And they wanted to tell their colleagues all about these pets. Then they were so excited to meet Maisy a

Back to Medical Shool
While we have conferences and conventions, our regular assignments still continue. We had three dogs at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine and it was a fabulous visit. We returned to hosting our visits in the main entrance area ad so any students found us there. This was Maisy’s first time there and she was just amazing. She does think she is a lap dog at 60+ pounds but no one minded her in their laps! Buddy and Dexter were very happy to have a bit more space.

Nevada State University is a favorite
We enjoy our student visits at Nevada State University so much. We had four dogs gather to de-stress the students in preparation for their finals. Man of the students knew Charlie, Daisy and Chewie and they loved seeing them again. But they were especially happy to meet a new team member Tallulah. Thank you for partnering with Pet Partners of Las Vegas since 2013.

Pixie is a rock star
Kristy and Pixie passed their third Pet Partners renewal evaluation with flying colors at the Complex level. This team is so steady and gentle and on point. They are favorites wherever they volunteer and such a great example of teamwork at both ends of the leash. Here’s to another two years with Pet Partners of Las Vegas.

Buddy at work
Buddy is an outstanding therapy dog and is comfortable in all types of environments and with all populations. But he especially shines when working with teenagers. Today we were at one of the treatment centers we visit and Buddy was just so happy. We see two unity back to back with a brief break in between. The first group is split into two sessions and we had girls and boys today. Some of the kids knew Buddy and some were new to us. Those who knew him shared things about h

Lobby visits are the most fun
We love our Monday lobby visits at Southern Hills Hospital. And when we can bring dogs they have not met before it is so special. Today we had Buddy, Baci and Maisy. What a great trio. We spent some time in the lobby and then went to the floors to visit with staff. Everyone knows Buddy but they were so happy to meet Baci and Maisy. Those two dogs did such an outstanding job today. Hopefully next visit Big Boy will be with us as they all asked for “the big cat!”

Our dear friend
It has been almost ten years since we met the most wonderful woman. She has been in several living situations and we follow her everywhere – she can’t get rid of us! She is now in a lovely group home and we are so happy to be able to visit her there. Each facility has to approve the therapy animals coming in and Buddy went for the first time today. Big Boy has already visited so these two will go regularly. We hope others on our team want to visit with her as well as this mak

The little horse who could
Cinnamon had the best visit with the students at the UNLV School of Dental Medicine, Nursing and Occupational Therapy. Everyone gathered on campus and the students were so excited to meet her. They spend time with our therapy dogs and cats every month but this was something super special. We appreciate that the various schools combine their visits and schedule us together. Karen is always sharing their story and the history of the mini horses. Did you know that Cinnamon is an
