Buddy is so intuitive

We added another special visit during the holidays and Buddy was so happy. We went to one of our other behavioral health hospitals and the teens were thrilled to see us. We spent an hour with two small groups and then Buddy had a short break. It is so important to give the therapy dogs breaks and he always likes seeing the receptionist again as we walk outside! We came back in and went to another small group of kids in another unit. They are very different and you can tell Buddy senses this. He understands that with this group it is more difficult for them to show emotion so he is so sweet and calm and just waits. And he waits. And he waits for someone to reach out or call his name.  Or he just decides on his own who needs him the most and goes quietly over to them. This always breaks the ice.
