Cinnamon is a star

Months ago we scheduled a joint visit between Southern Hills Hospital and the Galen College of Nursing to meet one of our mini horses, Cinnamon. We worked with security to determine where they could park the trailer. We worked out the perfect space between the two buildings. We chose the time of day so most staffers and students and residents could stop by to meet her. Today was the big day. They drove over an hour to get here and parked. Karen and Gene got her ready --- walking her around, brushing her, making sure she was spiffy and had her bandana on her tail!  We walked Cinnamon to the spot we designated for her visit. People started coming out of the buildings and guess what? It started raining! There had been no prediction of rain. So we quickly moved to plan B and walked over to the front of one of the buildings that had an overhead. That was great. This was one of the best visits we ever had. So many people came out to meet her and we have hundreds of great photos. We decided to host two visits each year, one in the fall and one in the spring. Thank you to Karen, her second handler Gene and the amazing Cinnamon for bringing such joy to everyone today, rain or shine!
