Michele and Daisy had another remarkable day at Tomiyasu ES. Daisy is their secret weapon to engage the most challenged children. No one can resist this beautiful dog. She is the most patient and waits for any interactions they can create. This is why Pet Partners puts so much importance on the handlers – without Michele guiding and shaping the interactions with Daisy, they could not accomplish such lofty goals. Maybe a child will look at Daisy, or touch her or let her be real close or even speak or smile. Job well done!

“I love these pictures. Three children were crying when we arrived to our first very special class so we started with a story before making our rounds to each kiddo. I think the teachers needed Daisy just as much as the students on this visit. Her PreK kids were telling her they love her and miss her. Like Sharon said one little girl that kept saying she loves her and misses her said she knew in her heart Daisy was coming. They all took turns walking her and they love having her following them as they turn and weave through the tables.
I always tell Sharon and the teachers I'm going to get a video of Daisy barking with excitement before we leave the house for our visit. Well it was the funniest thing I turned my phone camera on and pointed it at her before this last visit and she stopped abruptly and stood quietly. She wasn't allowing any evidence of that. 😀
