Help me celebrate Charlie’s Gotcha Day.
I adopted Charlie four years ago the day after Thanksgiving. It was actually November 27, 2021 but I consider his Gotcha Day tomorrow. He was incredibly neglected and in poor condition. He was so matted I could not tell what kind of dog he was but something about this little dog just reeled me in. He was in great need of medical care and could not even come home with me to meet my other dogs at the time (Benny and Hildie.) But after spending several hours with him I knew I had to have him. So the journey began. I brought him straight to Town Center Animal Hospital and Dr. Stewart began his round of procedures. Four days later look what I brought home – a tiny bald dog! It took months for Charlie to allow me in but one day he just came to me and that was the start of his new life. We think Charlie must be fifteen years old now and is deaf with failing sight. But he has become the absolute best therapy dog and everyone wants a Charlie hug!He passed his recent Pet Partners renewal evaluation at the Complex level and everyone was so impressed with how we communicate with each other! Consider adopting senior pets and ones with special needs. What we thought might be one year has become four and I truly believe he has several more great years ahead of him.
We all love you Charlie.
