The VA visits are the best
When we visit with the staff at the Veteran’s Administration (VA), so many people come to see us. As I was walking in with Charlie, a women came up to us and said she came early to see the pets because she doesn’t have a lot of time. Since the event hadn’t even started yet, she got Charlie all to herself for as few minutes. The look of joy and calmness on her face was so rewarding. Then the other therapy dogs arrived. Dexter is a favorite of the staff and they got to meet Bodhi for the first time. We spent an hour in this first location and saw more people than ever before. Then we went over to the Behavioral Health Hospital and again our largest crowds came by. Once word spreads that the therapy pets are on site, everyone stops by for a hug or pet. Thank you for welcoming us so warmly and always making the time spent so special. Everyone agreed that Bodhi is so inspiring with his wheels, Dexter encourages you to adopt an older pet and Charlie, well Charlie is their dog.
