Wellness teams for the VA

We love our partnership with the Veterans Association … we were invited to join their Employee Health and Wellness Fair and were there to greet everyone as they completed the 2K Walk. Four therapy dogs and one cat hung out in the Education Center lobby and people started coming from everywhere to take a break and meet them. Many already knew Birdie and Big Boy and Charlie. And they wanted to tell their colleagues all about these pets. Then they were so excited to meet Maisy and Bodhi for the first time. Bodhi showed everyone how he uses his wheels as he only has two legs. Maisy showed everyone how she loves to lean in for close hugs. Birdie of course got her belly rubs. Big Boy showed that a great therapy cat can do and got so comfortable on the couch! And Charlie was Charlie – their beloved mascot even though he fell asleep on the job towards the end.
