Back to school

We had the best first day back in school ever. Charlie invited his friend Birdie to join him and she was an immediate hit. We met with two classes and they were larger than usual. We had time to show the children how to greet a dog and then they got to pet each dog. They were all so gentle. We shared the dogs’ stories and the children had such good questions for us. It was interesting because when I asked which dog they thought was older, most of the children thought Birdie! Birdie’s birthday is tomorrow and she is definitely a lot younger than Charlie!!! This was Birdie’s first class experience and she just loved it. What a natural therapy dog.  Birdie showed us her smile and snaggle tooth. And even Charlie gave a smile which he rarely does!
